I'm a born and raised Mid-Westerner, now working as a graphic designer in Portland, Ore. A fact I couldn't be happier about. As a hip, happening boy of the 80's and 90's, one who prefers beige to tan, cake to strudel and simple designs to the gaudy and garish, I have come to believe that graphic design has the distinguished ability to emotionally engage, inform and inspire. My work focuses on storytelling and the building of experiences, while creating quality, strategic design both in print and on the web. In my design work, I focus on solving problems by mixing the useable with the memorable.
I believe ...
that as a civilization we should slow down and enjoy the little things more

in white space
---
the power of collaboration
---
that a good story takes you away and teaches you something
---
there's nothing wrong with liking Piña Colada's AND getting caught in the rain
(if that's what you're into)
---
to never throw away a bad photo – it might make you laugh one day
---
this year will be the year the Cubs win the Series
---
in being passionate
---
in getting lost — it helps you find your way
---
that design matters
